The draws and schedule for the badminton singles and doubles events have been announced, featuring Commonwealth Games champion Lakshya Sen, Ayush Shetty, and two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu, all of whom have secured direct entry into the round of 32.

In the men's badminton team event, India clinched a bronze medal at the Asian Games 2026 after a 3-1 loss to China in the semi-finals held in Aichi, Japan, on Wednesday.

The only victory for India in this tie came from Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, who triumphed over the reigning world champions Liang Weikeng and Wang Chang with scores of 21-11, 22-20 in the men's doubles match.

The singles matches are set to commence on Friday, with finals for all categories scheduled for September 29.
