New Delhi, April 11: The third leg of the Indian Athletics Series showcased remarkable performances by elite athletes at the renowned Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on Saturday. Fans were treated to an exhilarating day as Animesh Kujur, a bronze medalist from the Asian Championships, sped to victory in the men's 100m event, clocking an impressive 10.28 seconds.
In the men's shot put, Tajinderpal Singh Toor, a two-time Asian Games champion, achieved a season-best throw of 21.03m, securing the title at the throwing arena, as reported by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI).
High jumper Pooja also made headlines, setting a personal best by clearing a height of 1.90m to claim gold.
The evening session heightened the excitement as the top three male javelin throwers surpassed the 80m mark in a fierce competition for dominance.
Ultimately, Rohit Yadav emerged victorious with a remarkable throw of 82.17m, while World Championships finalist Sachin Yadav followed closely in second place with 81.95m, and Yashvir Singh secured third with 81.61m.
