Aspect Sports Collaborates with Pinkathon

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], December 20: Aspect Sports has formed a partnership with Pinkathon, recognized as India's largest women's running event, to serve as the Official Sports Partner. This collaboration aims to enhance training pathways and encourage long-term participation in women's running throughout the country.

As part of this initiative, the Aspect Foundation will provide support to 100 young girls in Mumbai and Delhi through structured running programs that will take place year-round, according to a statement from Aspect Sports.

The focus of this initiative will be on consistent coaching, fitness evaluations, and opportunities to participate in competitive and community events. This approach is designed to create accessible entry points into organized sports while fostering a robust grassroots running framework.

For Pinkathon, this partnership introduces a new level of structure and continuity to its mass-participation model. Aspect Sports plans to incorporate expert-led coaching modules, technology-enhanced training tools, and tailored fitness sessions into upcoming city events, starting with Mumbai, to provide participants with a clearer path beyond race day.

In addition to training and performance, the collaboration will emphasize the importance of nutrition and recovery in a runner's journey.

As part of this partnership, Aspect Hospitality has developed a special Pinkathon Menu tailored for women runners, which was revealed prior to race day at Brunch & Cake. This initiative underscores a comprehensive approach to running, integrating fitness, nutrition, and long-term wellness as essential components of the Pinkathon experience.

Aksha Kamboj, Executive Chairperson of Aspect Global Ventures and Owner of Tiigers of Kolkata, stated, "Pinkathon has significantly raised the profile of women's running in India. Our aim is to focus on the future—implementing training frameworks and tools that facilitate the transition from participation to long-term sporting pathways."

Aspect Global Ventures is involved in sports, wellness, and community development, prioritizing accessibility and performance. Its sports division, Aspect Sports, operates at the intersection of grassroots sports and innovation, addressing the need for structured coaching, mentorship, and training systems. The initiative, themed "HER," seeks to inspire more women to adopt running as a regular sporting activity.

Milind Soman, Founder of Pinkathon, remarked that this partnership signifies the evolving landscape of women's running in India. "Aspect Sports brings a training and development perspective that complements the foundation Pinkathon has established over the years. By enhancing the experience beyond race day, we can encourage more women to remain engaged with running, fostering confidence, performance, and long-term wellness," he noted.

As women's running continues to grow across various age groups and cities, the Aspect Sports-Pinkathon partnership aims to contribute to a more organized and sustainable running ecosystem in India. Established in Mumbai in 2012, Pinkathon has evolved into a nationwide platform for women's running, attracting over half a million participants across numerous cities.
