Asia Pickleball Summit 2.0: A Platform for Growth

The popularity of pickleball is surging across Asia, extending its influence beyond just courts and competitions. Countries like India, Malaysia, and various Southeast Asian nations are witnessing a rise in participation, prompting organizers to establish sustainable ecosystems that support long-term growth in the region.

Central to this initiative is the upcoming Asia Pickleball Summit 2.0 (APS 2.0), set to take place on June 6 and 7, 2026, at the Hextar Exhibition Hall in Empire City, Malaysia. This summit is anticipated to be one of the largest networking and knowledge-sharing events for pickleball in Asia, gathering athletes, federation leaders, investors, club operators, brands, and industry innovators.

According to the organizers, APS was designed to promote the sport's development in Asia by offering avenues for learning, networking, and business growth through various conference sessions, curated exhibitions, and on-court activities. The event will include 16 panel discussions addressing topics such as policy, business strategies, commercial scalability, professional standards, and performance enhancement.

More than 20 exhibition booths will be present, showcasing innovative technologies, court infrastructure models, media platforms, and equipment brands associated with the expanding pickleball ecosystem. Networking is a key focus, with organizers facilitating 'unlimited networking gameplay' sessions, allowing participants to engage directly with industry leaders and stakeholders on the court.

Notable figures, including Aditya Khanna, General Secretary of the Asian Pickleball Association and Asia Continental Director for the Global Pickleball Federation, are confirmed to attend the event.

The overarching theme of APS 2.0 is 'Turning Asia Pickleball Energy into Sustainable Growth,' highlighting the sport's evolution from a leisure activity to a burgeoning professional and commercial sector in Asia. The summit aims to unify the fragmented pickleball landscape in the region by fostering collaboration among associations, court operators, investors, and brands.

Additionally, APS 2.0 will emphasize leadership and knowledge sharing through discussions focused on real-world case studies, regional growth strategies, and long-term development models for the sport. Strengthening cross-border partnerships within the Asian pickleball ecosystem will also be a priority, facilitated through workshops, networking opportunities, and collaborative business discussions.

As pickleball continues to grow on a global scale, the summit underscores how Asian markets are not just participants in the sport's expansion but are also pivotal in shaping its future across competitive, commercial, and community dimensions.
