World Sports Group (UAE) made the official announcement regarding the launch of Season 2 of the Asian Legends League in Mumbai on Tuesday. A significant highlight of this event was the introduction of the 'Impact Player' rule, which is reminiscent of the IPL.

During the launch, Sandeep Patil, the Director of Cricket Operations for the Asian Legends League, expressed his excitement, stating, "I am thrilled to announce the tournament dates and structure for the upcoming season. This year, we are excited to welcome seven exceptional teams, including two new franchises: the Gulf Gladiators, featuring top players from Gulf and Associate Cricketing nations, and the Pakistan Panthers."
Introduction of the 'Impact Player' Rule
Madan Lal, the Director of the Technical Committee for the Asian Legends League, shared insights about the new 'Impact Player' rule. He noted, "This addition will enhance strategy, flexibility, and entertainment within the tournament. Given that our league comprises former international players, this rule will help maintain energy, balance, and quality throughout the matches. The Asian Legends League is not just a tournament; it is a celebration of the Asia Cup for retired legends, rekindling rivalries and reuniting greats who have inspired generations."

Tournament Structure
In this season, each franchise will compete in six league-stage matches following a complete round-robin format. Overall, Season 2 will feature 25 matches.
