Ashmita Chaliha's run at the Macau Open BWF World Tour Super 300 concluded in the semi-finals, where she faced off against Korea's Park Ga Eun on Saturday. The match ended with scores of 21-17, 21-9 in just 38 minutes, marking the end of India's participation in the tournament, as reported by the Badminton Association of India (BAI).

In the first game, Ashmita started off strong, even leading 15-11 at one point. However, Park Ga Eun rallied back, winning 10 out of the next 11 points to take the game. The second game saw Ashmita struggle to find her rhythm, allowing Park to secure a straight-game victory.

Earlier in the tournament, Ashmita had a notable victory against Kim, winning 21-16, 21-18 in just 37 minutes, which set her up for the semi-final against Park Ga Eun. Park had advanced to this stage after receiving a walkover from second seed Busanan Ongbamrungphan of Thailand in the quarter-finals.


The match against Kim was tightly contested until it reached 14-14, after which Ashmita scored four consecutive points to gain a significant lead, which she maintained until the end.
