Sabalenka's Impressive Performance

World number one Aryna Sabalenka has successfully reached the fourth round of the French Open, securing a victory over Olga Danilovic in their third-round encounter held in Paris on Friday.


According to the official WTA website, Sabalenka triumphed over Danilovic with a score of 6-2, 6-3, winning in straight sets.


Throughout her four matches in the tournament, Sabalenka has only conceded 10 games, with 32 of her 37 wins coming in straight sets.


Insights from Sabalenka on Her Match

After the match, Sabalenka shared her thoughts, stating, "The ball flies much faster. The bounces are much higher. You have to adjust your racquet, which I actually did not, and it felt much better."


Regarding her opponent, she commented, "Game-wise, she definitely has everything to be in the Top 20, Top 10. It’s about whether she can mentally handle the pressure and stay competitive. Regardless of the score, it was a tough match and a real fight."


Next Challenge: Facing Anisimova

In the upcoming fourth round, Sabalenka is set to compete against Amanda Anisimova, currently ranked 16th in the world.


Anisimova advanced by defeating Clara Tauson, ranked 22nd, with a score of 7-6 (4), 6-4. Notably, Anisimova is a former semifinalist at the French Open.


Zheng Qinwen Also Advances

Additionally, Zheng Qinwen, the reigning Olympic gold medalist, has progressed to the fourth round after overcoming 18-year-old Victoria Mboko with a score of 6-3, 6-4 in a match lasting 1 hour and 26 minutes.
