Exciting Motorsports Event in New Delhi

On March 2, Racing Bulls' F1 driver Arvid Lindblad participated in the second edition of the Red Bull Moto Jam, an exhilarating motorsports event that captivated Indian fans. This unique extravaganza allowed attendees to witness live demonstrations and experience Arvid driving a Formula 1 car firsthand.

Arvid, who is notably the third Formula 1 driver of Indian descent, returned to India just a week prior to his F1 debut. He showcased his skills at the India Expo Centre in Noida, a location that has previously hosted three Formula One Grands Prix. During the event, he drove the RB8, the car that Sebastian Vettel used to clinch the 2012 World Championship, adorned in the VCARB livery.

The Red Bull Moto Jam coincided with Holi, the vibrant festival of colors celebrated in India on March 3. In keeping with the tradition established at Red Bull Showruns, the RB8 released colorful powder (gulal) into the air, enhancing the festive atmosphere.

Before the main event, former F1 driver Karun Chandhok took the VCARB-branded RB8 for a showcase run at the Buddh International Circuit, marking the first time in 13 years that an F1 car graced the track.

This iconic motorsport festival also featured a variety of motorsport disciplines, with several athletes from the Red Bull family showcasing their talents. Among them were Lebanese drifting champion Abdo Feghali, stunt biker Aras Gibieza, global stunt athlete Abdulrahman AlRaeesi, motocross leader Roman Karymov, and freestyle motocross riders Sebastian Westberg and Greg Rowbottom.

As the athletes delivered an unforgettable performance, the event was supported by various partners, including Harrier.Ev, OnePlus, Duolingo English Test, Fastrack, Zepto, Confluent, Bisleri, Book My Show, Dream Set Go, ExpoInn, and Laqshya Media Group.

Reflecting on the experience, Arvid Lindblad expressed, “Participating in the Red Bull Moto Jam and driving an F1 car in India was an incredible opportunity. This country, which has significantly influenced my upbringing, holds a special place in my heart. From visiting the historic India Gate to seeing the enthusiastic fans during the exhibition, it was a memorable experience. I hope everyone enjoyed it. A big thank you to all involved; it was the perfect way to start my F1 season before heading to Melbourne next week.”
