Anvay Dravid Joins India U19 Squad for Sri Lanka Tour
Announcement of the U19 Squad
Anvay Dravid, the son of former Indian cricket captain Rahul Dravid, has been selected for the India Under-19 cricket team. The Junior Cricket Committee revealed the squad for the upcoming tour to Sri Lanka on Thursday.
Tour Details
This tour will consist of three one-day matches followed by two multi-day games, offering the young players essential experience in both limited-overs and longer formats.
Anvay Dravid's Performance
Anvay, a right-handed wicketkeeper-batter, previously played for India B Under-19s in a one-day tri-series against Afghanistan Under-19s at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru in November 2025. Although he was out for a duck in his only match, he made a notable contribution with two catches behind the stumps.
Recently, he captained Karnataka's Under-19 team to the quarter-finals of the Vinoo Mankad Trophy, where he was one of the top performers, scoring 220 runs with an impressive average of 55.00 over six innings.
Sri Lanka Tour Schedule
The tour will kick off with three one-day matches on July 4, 6, and 9, all scheduled to take place in Hambantota, starting at 10 AM local time. The first four-day match is set for July 13 to 16 in Galle, followed by the second from July 20 to 23 in Colombo.
