Champions of the Junior Pickleball Championship


At the inaugural Junior Pickleball Championship held at the Dinkers Pickleball Academy in Ahmedabad on June 12, Anushka Chhabria and Panth Thakkar triumphed in the Under 16 Mixed Doubles category. The event, sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) as a PWR 400 tournament, saw the talented pair defeat their opponents, Arhaan Mehta and Ruvanashri SK, in straight sets with scores of 15-10 and 15-6.


Both Anushka and Panth, recognized as some of the most promising young talents in the sport, showcased remarkable teamwork during the final match. They managed to secure a narrow lead in the first game and elevated their performance in the second to clinch the title decisively.


This championship is particularly significant as it also serves as the selection trials for the upcoming Pickleball World Cup, which is set to take place in Da Nang, Vietnam, from August 30 to September 6.
