For an impressive 730 days, American pickleball prodigy Anna Leigh Waters has maintained an unbeaten record in women's singles, participating in 124 matches and reaching 25 finals. The 19-year-old's last setback occurred during the 2024 Texas Open on the PPA Tour, where she faced Salome Devidze in the semifinals, losing 11-8, 5-11, 7-11. This defeat marked her only loss of the season.

Pickleball is a challenging sport, and its on-screen portrayal can be misleading compared to the intensity experienced live. Few athletes across various categories have demonstrated the level of dominance that Anna Waters has achieved. While consistent performance in tournaments is commendable, remaining unbeaten for such an extended period is a remarkable feat.

Her remarkable performance has kept her at the top of the world rankings for 1,632 days since late 2021. In the realm of pickleball, no other player has achieved such extraordinary milestones at such a young age. Comparatively, only a few professional athletes have reached similar heights in their careers. In women's tennis, Martina Navratilova holds the record for the longest unbeaten streak with 74 consecutive wins in 1984, while Bjorn Borg achieved 49 consecutive wins in men's tennis. In chess, Magnus Carlsen remained unbeaten for 125 matches from 2018 to 2020. Other legends include Jahangir Khan in squash and Esther Vergeer in wheelchair tennis.

While victories and defeats are part of sports, Anna Leigh Waters' winning streak may eventually come to an end, though it seems unlikely in the near future.
