Angkrish Raghuvanshi Exits IPL 2026 Due to Injury
Angkrish Raghuvanshi Out of IPL 2026
The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have announced that batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi will miss the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season due to a concussion and a fractured finger. This decision was made public on Friday. Raghuvanshi, who has been a key player for KKR this season, suffered these injuries while attempting a catch against the Mumbai Indians (MI) during a match on Wednesday.
Raghuvanshi's Impressive Performance
This season has been remarkable for Raghuvanshi, as he has accumulated 422 runs across 13 matches, averaging 42.20 with a strike rate exceeding 146. His performance includes five half-centuries, with a top score of 82 not out. Since making his debut in 2024, he has played 35 matches for KKR, amassing 885 runs in 30 innings at an average of 34.03 and a strike rate of 145.55, including seven fifties.
KKR's Playoff Prospects
In their last outing, KKR secured a four-wicket victory over MI, successfully chasing down a target of 148 runs on a challenging pitch during a rain-affected match. Currently, KKR holds the sixth position in the standings with six wins, six losses, and one no result, totaling 13 points. Their final league match is against the Delhi Capitals (DC) at Eden Gardens on May 24. A win in this match could elevate them to 15 points, potentially allowing them to qualify for the playoffs, provided that the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) lose their respective final games.
