At the 2026 WA Pickleball Championships held at Ocean Ridge Tennis Club in Australia, Andy Horridge and Gary Thoroughgood both achieved remarkable success, each securing a hat-trick of gold medals. Horridge, a well-known figure in the Australian pickleball scene and hailing from Western Australia, particularly shone during the tournament. He showcased his skills by winning gold in three categories: the Men’s Singles Open (AR), Men’s Doubles Open (AR) with partner Michael Russ, and the Mixed Doubles Open (AR) alongside his sister, Aleisha Horridge.
This accomplishment highlighted Horridge's versatility and the special family bond that made his mixed doubles victory even more significant. He triumphed in the 60+ Men’s Singles Skill 3.50 and Above (AR), the 60+ Men’s Doubles Skill 3.50 and Above (AR) with Craig Cobern, and the 50+ Mixed Doubles Skill 3.50 and Above (AR) with Rosa Morris.
