The 25-year-old athlete achieved an impressive jump of 6.88 meters, surpassing the previous record of 6.83 meters set by the iconic Anju Bobby George at the 2004 Athens Olympics, as reported by ESPN.

In the men's high jump event, Sarvesh Kushare also made waves by breaking the national record. He cleared a height of 2.31 meters, exceeding Tejaswin Shankar's previous record of 2.29 meters.
