Former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu has commended KL Rahul for his enhanced batting style, particularly in the ongoing IPL 2026 season. Following Delhi Capitals' convincing victory over Rajasthan Royals, Rayudu spoke on ESPN Cricinfo's Time Out, emphasizing Rahul's ability to dominate bowlers. He noted that the Delhi opener has always possessed the potential for aggression, but now displays greater confidence and determination in his shot selection.

Rayudu remarked on Rahul's deep understanding of the game, stating that he can face any bowler at any moment, attributing this to his mindset. Against Rajasthan Royals, his batting attitude was particularly impressive. Rayudu further analyzed Rahul's performance against spin bowling, specifically mentioning his intent when facing Ravi Bishnoi.

The former player explained that Rahul attempted several shots against Bishnoi, demonstrating his confidence in the bowler's pace, allowing him to play shots even while standing on the crease.
