Amandeep Drall Shines with 8-Under 64 at Tipsport Czech Ladies Open

Amandeep Drall Takes the Lead
Beroun [Czech Republic], June 22: Amandeep Drall, who narrowly missed clinching her first Ladies European title at her home event last year, delivered an outstanding performance with an 8-under 64, placing her at the top after the opening round of the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open.
With an impressive tally of nine birdies and just one bogey, Amandeep achieved her best round ever on the Ladies European Tour.
Participating in only her second LET event this season, Drall embraced the low-scoring conditions at Royal Beroun Golf Club. She expressed her satisfaction, stating, “I’m very happy, especially after missing the cut in Belgium last week. My line reading was definitely the key difference. I struck the ball well last week, but I struggled with reading the greens. This week, I focused heavily on my putting, honing in on my stroke and line.”
Among other Indian players, rookie Hitaashee Bakshi made a strong start with a 4-under 68, placing her tied for 12th. Diksha Dagar, who began her round from the tenth hole, rallied from 2-over to finish at 2-under 70, landing her in a tie for 43rd on a day of low scores.
Avani Prashanth, who was once 3-under through six holes, concluded with a 1-under 71, tying for 63rd. Tvesa Malik and Neha Tripathi both shot 72, tying for 81st, while Sneha Singh and Vani Kapoor finished with scores of 73 and 74, respectively, placing them at 94th and 106th.
Amandeep, who previously secured second place at the 2022 Hero Women’s Indian Open, showcased her skills with four consecutive birdies on holes 13 through 16, giving the 32-year-old a one-shot advantage.
This remarkable round comes after her absence from the LET in 2025, as she only returned to competition at the Hulencourt Women’s Open due to visa complications.
“I was probably making up for lost time,” Amandeep remarked, recalling her title win on the local Hero Women’s Tour in India.
Chasing Amandeep closely are three English players, led by veteran Florentyna Parker, who celebrated her 36th birthday with a bogey-free 65 (-7), just one stroke behind the leader.
Sharing second place with Parker is fellow English golfer Lianna Bailey, who also competes on the LET Access Series (LETAS) and matched her score.
One stroke behind them is rookie Esme Hamilton, who recorded a bogey-free 66 (-6), marking her best round on the LET, and she is tied for fourth with Alexandra Swayne.
