Mumbai (Maharashtra) - On April 14, Ajita Ravindran showcased remarkable determination and skill to secure the Women's Singles 45 plus title at the GD Birla Memorial Inter-Club Badminton Tournament, held at Bombay Gymkhana. Facing a tough opponent in Pooja Jhalani, Ajita fought hard to clinch victory in a thrilling three-game match.

After narrowly losing the first game 24-26, Ajita rallied back to win the second game 21-19. The final game was fiercely contested, with both players giving their all, but Ajita ultimately triumphed 21-18, earning a well-deserved championship.

In the Men's Doubles 110 plus category, the pair of Bibhash Chatterjee and Shiv Thakur delivered an impressive performance, defeating the top-seeded team of Gautam Laud and Shailesh Daga in straight sets, 21-12, 21-15.

Vikrant Karanjkar dominated the Men's Singles 45 plus category, overcoming top seed Sachin Bharati with scores of 21-6, 21-19. Meanwhile, in the Mixed Doubles 80 plus category, Hemant Duggal and Shweta Thakur achieved one of the most decisive victories of the finals, defeating Sandeep Mohan and Tejasvi Sawant Desai with a score of 21-10, 21-4.
