Aishwarya Pissay Faces Setback in INRC 2025 Rally Championship

Challenging Round for Aishwarya Pissay

Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) [India], July 13: Aishwarya Pissay, a three-time FIM World Champion and India's renowned female motorsport star, encountered a tough challenge during the recent MRF MoGrip FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) 2W 2025 in Coimbatore. Despite being a strong contender for victory, she had to retire from the event due to a technical regulation issue.

Before this round, Aishwarya had established a significant lead in the Women's Championship and was on the verge of potentially clinching the 2025 title. She was performing well in the early stages, having secured a solid lead, but was ultimately forced to withdraw due to a setback related to her vehicle's regulations.

"It's always tough to step back from a rally when you're in the lead, especially one that could determine the championship outcome. However, I believe motorsport is about how you handle challenges. Although I couldn't finish today, I'm still at the top of the overall standings and am determined to finish strong in the final round," Aishwarya stated in a press release from FMSCI.

Even with a zero-point result from this round, Aishwarya continues to lead the championship standings, with just one round remaining in the 2025 season.

As the final round approaches, all eyes will be on Aishwarya Pissay as she aims to conclude an impressive season with yet another national title.
