Air India Flight to London Canceled Amid Safety Concerns Following Recent Crash
Flight Cancellation Due to Technical Issues
Ahmedabad: An Air India flight scheduled to depart from Ahmedabad to London was abruptly canceled on Tuesday due to a detected technical issue.
The airline made the decision to cancel the Ahmedabad-London flight after receiving alerts about potential technical problems shortly before the scheduled departure.
Flight AI 159 was called off just minutes prior to its planned take-off at 1 PM, with over 200 passengers ready to board.
This incident is particularly noteworthy as it follows the tragic crash of Air India’s Dreamliner AI-171, which occurred shortly after take-off from the same airport on June 12, resulting in over 200 fatalities.
The unfortunate crash, which impacted a medical college hostel, claimed the lives of more than 270 individuals, including 241 passengers and several medical students.
The devastating incident has raised significant concerns regarding aviation safety and the management practices of the airline.
In the wake of the recent crash, there have been multiple reports of technical malfunctions, flight cancellations, and other safety issues.
Earlier today, another Air India flight from San Francisco to Mumbai experienced a technical glitch in one of its engines, leading to a temporary grounding for safety checks. Passengers were required to deplane at Kolkata airport during a layover.
Additionally, an Air India Express flight from Delhi to Ranchi was forced to return to the capital shortly after take-off due to suspected technical difficulties.
Prior to these events, an Air India flight returning from Hong Kong also faced mid-air technical issues but landed safely, with the airline stating that checks were being conducted as a precaution.
