AIPA's Stellar Performance in Bangkok

Bangkok, Thailand - From March 11 to 16, players representing the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) showcased remarkable talent at the WPC Asia Pickleball Open 2026, securing two Gold medals and one Silver medal during the prestigious event held at The Mall Bangkapi.


In the Men's Doubles 19+ Open category, the duo of Mayur Patil and Vanshik Kapadia emerged victorious, clinching the Gold Medal with an outstanding display of skill.


Similarly, in the Women's Doubles 19+ Open, Aalyka Ebrahim and Agnimitra Bhavatosh Bhattacharya teamed up to earn another Gold Medal for AIPA.


Aalyka Ebrahim also excelled in the Mixed Doubles Advanced Plus, where she, alongside Avinash Kumar, secured a Silver Medal. Additionally, she achieved a commendable 4th place finish in both the Women's Singles 19+ Open and Advanced Plus categories, demonstrating her versatility across multiple events.


In the Men's Singles, Sonu Kumar Vishwakarma finished as the Runner-up, earning a Silver Medal, while Avinash Kumar took home the Bronze with a 3rd place finish. Gaurav Rane also performed admirably, finishing 4th.


Other notable performances included Gaurav Rane and Tejas Mahajan, who placed 4th in Men's Doubles 19+ Open, and Anuja Maheshwari with Vrushali Thakare, who also secured 4th in Women's Doubles 19+ Open.


A number of AIPA athletes participated in various singles and doubles events, including Sonu Kumar Vishwakarma from Jharkhand, Ritam Chawla from Haryana, and Avinash Kumar from Bihar, along with players from Maharashtra such as Mayur Patil, Aalyka Ebrahim, Anuja Maheshwari, and others.


In the doubles categories, AIPA athletes formed several team combinations, including Kunal Bare with Aniket Durgawali, Ritam Chawla with Sonu Kumar Vishwakarma, and many more.
