Champions of the Pro Men’s Doubles
At the Picklebay Zonals - West, a PWR 700 tournament sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association, held in Hinjewadi, Pune, on March 15, siblings Aditya Singh and Arjun Singh claimed the Pro Men’s Doubles title. They faced off against Ammol Ramchandani and Stavya Bhasin in a thrilling three-game match, ultimately winning with scores of 11-4, 10-11, and 11-8. The Singh brothers started strong, taking the first game 11-4, but the duo of Ramchandani and Bhasin fought back to win the second game 11-10, pushing the match to a decisive third game. In the final game, the Singh brothers maintained their composure to secure an 11-8 victory and the championship.
This win marked a remarkable achievement for Arjun, who not only secured the Pro Men’s Doubles title but also completed a hat-trick of titles at the tournament. Earlier, he had triumphed in the Pro Men’s Singles and the Mixed Doubles events alongside Naomi Amalsadiwala. The Pro Men’s Doubles victory further solidified Arjun’s status as one of the standout players at the Picklebay Zonals - West, showcasing his versatility across various categories. For Aditya, this title represented a strong conclusion to the doubles competition, as the brothers demonstrated excellent teamwork throughout the event.
The tournament, which took place from March 10-15, attracted top players from the circuit, with the Pro Men’s Doubles final being a closely contested affair before Aditya and Arjun emerged victorious.
