New Indoor Pickleball Courts Open in Chester County

Ace Pickleball, a national franchise, has launched its inaugural location in Chester County, featuring 12 climate-controlled indoor courts set in a former furniture store, as reported by Vista. This new club in Downingtown represents the 25th establishment for the Georgia-based franchise, initiated by friends and franchisees Savan Manvar, Milan Dalsania, and Mayank Jasani. The trio, who share a deep passion for sports, have transformed their love for pickleball into a thriving business.

Manvar expressed, “We’ve enjoyed playing volleyball, cricket, and pickleball together, and now our families have become close friends.” Currently, pickleball is played on various surfaces, including hardwood courts, outdoor tennis courts, and specially designed pickleball courts. The effects of climate change are prompting adaptations in sports like pickleball. In Australia, where outdoor play is favored, increasing temperatures have led to plans for shaded courts and more air-conditioned indoor facilities to mitigate the challenges posed by extreme weather.

Australian pickleball athlete Sarah Burr shared insights with Pickleball Now, stating, "I believe we will see covered courts, similar to those in Australia, which will remain outdoor but feature shade sails. In the future, I anticipate a significant increase in indoor venues, allowing us to avoid concerns about rain, wind, or extreme heat. Purpose-built indoor air-conditioned facilities will become more common."
