In Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, on September 21, the mixed doubles duo of Aadhya Tiwari and Jay Meena successfully reached the round of 16 in soft tennis during the ongoing Asian Games. Their journey began with a commanding 5-0 victory against Cambodia's Viva Chao and Chanroseka Khun, with set scores of 4–1, 4–0, 4–2, 4–1, and 4–2.

Following this, they continued their winning streak by defeating Mongolia's Bud Nyamdorj and Enkhkhuslen Ganbaatar with another 5-0 scoreline, achieving set scores of 4–2, 4–1, 4–1, 4–0, and 5–3.

However, their final group match ended in a 5-1 loss to South Korea, which placed them second in their group, allowing them to progress to the round of 16, as reported by ESPN.

Earlier in the day, India's medal tally in shooting grew as Rudrankksh Patil, Parth Mane, and Himanshu Dhillon clinched a silver medal in the men's 10 m air rifle team event at the Asian Games 2026.

The Indian team scored 1890.1, falling short of China's first-place score of 1899.0. South Korea secured the bronze with a score of 1841.4. This achievement marks India's third silver medal in shooting at the Asian Games 2026.

In the individual qualifying round for the men's 10 m air rifle, which also served as the team final, Rudrankksh placed third with a score of 631.8, while Himanshu finished seventh with 630.0. Parth scored 628.3, placing him in 11th. Both Rudrankksh and Himanshu qualified for the individual final, which is set to take place later.
