Bhubaneswar/Koraput: According to reports, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is set to visit the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) facility located in Sunabeda, Koraput district, on Tuesday to assess its manufacturing and operational functions.

It has been revealed that Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will join Singh during this visit. The Defence Minister plans to examine crucial units responsible for aircraft engine production, as well as manufacturing and maintenance processes. Additionally, he is anticipated to engage in discussions with senior HAL officials and technical staff regarding ongoing projects, production goals, and operational readiness.

In preparation for the minister's arrival, security measures have been heightened throughout Koraput. Local police and various security agencies have positioned personnel along major routes and around the HAL facility, with increased surveillance in Sunabeda and nearby regions.
