Telangana Chief Minister Invites British Firms for Musi River Revival Project
Invitation to British Companies
The Chief Minister of Telangana, E. Rajender Reddy, has extended an invitation to British companies to participate as partners in the extensive Musi River rejuvenation project initiated by the state government.
On Thursday, a delegation led by the British High Commissioner, Lindy Cameron, met with the Chief Minister to discuss potential collaborations.
Promoting Investment Opportunities
During the meeting, the Chief Minister informed the High Commissioner about various significant initiatives taken by the state government to enhance the manufacturing sector and attract investments.
He urged the British High Commissioner to encourage British investors to consider opportunities in Telangana's pharmaceutical sector, the electric vehicle (EV) industry, and the proposed 'Future City' project on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
Collaboration in Education and Technology
Lindy Cameron responded positively, indicating that the UK government is also willing to collaborate in the fields of education and technology.
The Chief Minister provided insights into the draft of Telangana's education policy to the British delegation.
Cameron agreed to offer prestigious Chevening scholarships to talented students from Telangana, and the British government is also prepared to train government teachers and lecturers in the state.
