Tata Harrier EV Set to Compete in Electric SUV Market

Tata's New Electric Offering

Tata Motors has established a strong presence in the electric vehicle (EV) market with its budget-friendly models like the Punch and Nexon. Now, the company is gearing up to introduce the Harrier EV, which aims to rival the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV and Suzuki E Vitara. During a recent dealer event, Tata demonstrated the vehicle's capabilities by navigating various slopes and inclines.

The Harrier EV is expected to feature a robust 75 kWh battery, providing an impressive range of approximately 500 kilometers. Upon its release, it will compete directly with the Hyundai Creta Electric and Maruti Suzuki E-Vitara. Notably, while the E-Vitara offers a rear-wheel-drive option in certain trims, the Hyundai Creta lacks an all-wheel-drive variant. According to previous reports, the Harrier EV will include an all-wheel-drive feature exclusively in its higher-end trim.

In addition to its performance features, the Harrier EV will boast a 12.3-inch freestanding display and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) with level 2 safety features.
