Revolutionizing Rural Healthcare: The Launch of a Digital Health ATM in Puri

A New Era in Healthcare Access
Puri: In a significant advancement for rural healthcare, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida unveiled a cutting-edge digital Health ATM at the Nimapada Community Health Centre (CHC) on Wednesday. This innovative self-service health kiosk, introduced by a private organization, aims to deliver modern diagnostic services to individuals in remote and underserved regions. The Health ATM is engineered to offer quick, cost-effective, and precise diagnostic solutions to the public. Residents from surrounding villages can now access basic health checkups and over 100 vital medical tests, such as blood sugar, blood pressure, ECG, BMI, and oxygen saturation, all with rapid result delivery.
During the inauguration, Parida highlighted that the introduction of this digital service signifies a transformative moment in the state's primary healthcare landscape. She stressed the importance of such initiatives in closing the healthcare divide between urban and rural populations, equipping communities with the means to regularly monitor and manage their health. The Health ATM is anticipated to alleviate the pressure on hospitals by enabling patients to conduct initial health screenings independently, without requiring immediate doctor intervention. The reports generated by the machine will assist healthcare providers in offering timely advice and necessary treatment.
