Nokia G42 5G Now Gets a More Affordable 4GB RAM Variant Starting at Rs 9,999

Earlier this month, Nokia announced that it will launch a new storage variant of the Nokia G42 in India. The model is now officially on sale in the region. So here's what you need to know about the G42's prices and specs.

To recall, Nokia G42 was announced in India in September 2023 with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Soon after its release, a new 8GB + 256GB variant in a fresh pink color option also went on sale. Now, the 4GB + 128GB option has also been introduced in the region in three color variants. These include So Pink, So Purple and So Gray versions.

It is priced at INR 9,999 (approximately 121 US dollars) and is listed for purchase on Amazon India. There are also EMI options as well as exchange benefits for interested buyers. Apart from the memory capacity, the device is similar to other Nokia G42 models. It sports a 6.56-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, Nokia G42 is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ SoC.

A large 5,000mAh battery pack powers the device, which also supports 20W wired fast charging. There is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter on the front, while the rear has a 50-megapixel triple camera setup. Other notable features include microSD card slot for storage expansion, virtual RAM expansion option up to 5GB, face unlock, side mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack and dual speaker setup.
