Huawei Watch GT 4 Unveiled in China: AMOLED Display and AFib Detection Take Center Stage

Huawei held a mega event in China today. The brand announced several products including smartphones, tablets, smartwatches and IoT devices. The company announced the Watch GT 4 in global markets earlier this month. Now, the same has entered the home market. The Huawei Watch GT4 comes as the successor to the Watch GT3. It is offered in two models with slight differences. Read on to know more below.

Huawei Watch GT 4 Specifications and Features
The Huawei Watch GT 4 is offered in 41mm and 46mm sizes. The former has a circular dial while the latter has an octagonal cover. Both feature a functional rotating crown with a stainless steel build and a physical button on the right side. The 41mm and 46mm models have 1.32 and 1.42-inch AMOLED displays respectively. Both have a 466 x 466-pixel resolution and 322 PPI pixel density. The smartwatches pack an always-on display mode and customizable watch faces.

In terms of health and fitness, the Huawei Watch GT 4 Duo is equipped with a heart-rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, sleep and stress tracker, and menstrual cycle monitor. There is also an onboard temperature sensor. The PPG sensor is also able to track atrial fibrillation and provide premature heartbeat reminders. The wearable devices also pack a fat loss and shaping app that intelligently integrates monitoring technology to accurately calculate daily calorie consumption, exercise calorie consumption, resting calorie consumption and more. Watch GT 4 comes with support for more than 100 sports modes. The 46mm variant has a new smart-star-oriented antenna for improved positioning accuracy.

The Huawei Watch GT 4 comes with a built-in microphone and Bluetooth speaker for making calls directly from the wrist. It packs the WeChat app with support for other apps. The smartwatch supports NFC for making payments as well as unlocking car doors. The 41mm variant is claimed to offer 7-day battery life while the 46mm model is rated for up to 14 days on a single charge.

The Huawei Watch GT 4 41mm is offered in black and silver leather options as well as a silver metal band. These are priced at CNY 1,488 (~$203), CNY 1,688 (~$230), and CNY 2,688 (~$367), respectively. The 46mm variant comes in Spruce Green, Obsidian Black and Camellia Brown colors priced at CNY 1,588 (~$217), CNY 1,788 (~$244), CNY 2,088 (~$285).
