Huawei Pushes the Limits: Vision Smart Screen 4 Boasts 1.5mm Bezels and Powerful AI Processor

Huawei has launched the successor to the Smart Screen 3 4K TV from last year. The new 4K TV comes in three different sizes, has an improved AI-powered high-definition camera and starts at 4999 yuan. As per schedule, the new TV series goes on sale in China today. So let's take a look at what the product has to offer.

The Vision Smart Screen 4 comes with an impressive design - 1.5 mm ultra-narrow bezels, 98% screen-to-body ratio and a wide field of view. It also offers a one-piece metal body design. It is made of high-strength steel plate material and polished with micron-grade quartz sand. The 4K panel comes with 2304 intelligent light control partitions and can analyze image characteristics in real-time, accurately adjust brightness, and intelligently process and depict light and shadow in content.

The panel supports 92% DCI-P3 wide color gamut, which means almost accurate representation of most colors. According to the company, the TV displays colors that are "vibrant and lifelike", and is calibrated on a channel-by-channel basis to △E≤1.518. As for the internals, this smart TV is equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and is powered by a high-performance 4-core “AI Vision Chip”. The chipset is capable enough to support 4K 120 FPS decoding.

This chipset has 1.6TNPU to execute AI-based processing. Boot-up is also faster this time. It powers AI features like video call portrait tracking and children's sitting posture recognition. The chip also supports super-resolution technology, which can improve the texture of content.

The product runs on HarmonyOS 4.2, which looks stable and smooth.
