As per schedule, ZTE Axon 50 Ultra has been unveiled in China today. As the name suggests, it is the company's latest premium flagship smartphone. However, it doesn't come with the latest powerful chipset or a high-end mobile camera system. But it comes with a feature that is currently offered by only two consumer brands, namely Apple and Huawei. The ZTE Axon 50 Ultra is built around a 6.67-inch flexible curved OLED display. The 10-bit panel offers a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) and a 144Hz refresh rate.

The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. Thus, it is limited to UFS 3.1 storage but uses LPDDR5x RAM. At the rear, the handset has a triple camera system. The setup includes an OIS-assisted 64MP Sony IMX787 primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide unit and a 50MP telephoto snapper. The main feature of the phone is that it has support for Beidou's two-way satellite communication system. Thus, users can send and receive emergency messages when they are out of network coverage.
