The preparations for the upcoming State-Level Janmashtami Festival in Nurpur are underway, with the town being transformed into a vibrant celebration of Lord Krishna’s birth. The entire area is being decorated with dazzling lights and colorful displays. As in previous years, the Tilak Raj Mahajan family is spearheading the lighting arrangements to enhance the festive spirit.
Bright lights are being set up from Nurpur Chogan to Niyazpur, including the newly constructed temple gate and various significant streets and landmarks. These radiant decorations are expected to illuminate Nurpur, reminiscent of Vrindavan, fostering a divine atmosphere for both devotees and locals.
Rajni Mahajan, the Councillor of Ward No. 2 in the Municipal Council of Nurpur and a member of the Mahajan family, expressed that their family has a longstanding commitment to religious, social, and community service. She emphasized that their dedication to Lord Krishna and the comfort of devotees drives their annual tradition of adorning the town with spectacular lighting.
Mahajan highlighted that the State-Level Janmashtami Festival has become a significant event in Nurpur, drawing devotees from various regions to receive blessings from Lord Brijraj Swami Ji. The aim of the city’s decorations, she noted, is to create a peaceful and spiritual ambiance during the festivities.
She encouraged all residents to visit Shri Brijraj Swami Temple, Nurpur, on September 4 and 5 to join in the celebrations and offer their prayers to Lord Krishna. Rajni Mahajan also conveyed warm Janmashtami greetings to everyone, urging them to celebrate the festival with love, unity, and devotion.
