Effective Home Remedies to Protect Against Evil Eye
Introduction
Regardless of the illness, many believe that home remedies can effectively treat any ailment. Whether it's a headache, fever, injury, or even the effects of an evil eye, these remedies have been a staple in traditional healing. While modern society has shifted away from these practices, our grandmothers and great-grandmothers relied heavily on these methods to cure even the most serious conditions.
Children and the Evil Eye
Young children are often susceptible to the evil eye, which can lead to excessive crying and distress. Some parents opt for medical help, while others turn to astrology for solutions.
Traditional Remedies
Interestingly, there are several traditional remedies passed down through generations that can help protect against the evil eye. In this article, we will explore these time-honored methods.
Remedy 1
If someone in your household is affected by the evil eye, prepare a roti made from jowar. Ensure that you cook it on one side only. Once cooked, apply ghee on the cooked side and tie it with a yellow thread. Then, circle this roti around the affected person seven times before feeding it to a dog. This practice is believed to dispel negative energy.
Remedy 2
A simple and effective remedy involves making a diya from wheat flour. Light a black thread wick in the diya, add two red chilies, and then perform a ritual to remove the evil eye from the affected individual. This method is thought to alleviate negative influences.
Remedy 3
Cow dung can also be utilized to ward off the evil eye. If a family member is affected, create a four-faced lamp using cow dung. After making the diya, light a wick with sesame oil and add a bit of jaggery. Place this diya at the entrance of your home, as it is believed to eliminate negative energy and invite positive vibes, enhancing harmony among family members.
Remedy 4
While the evil eye is common, it can be particularly distressing for children. If your little one is affected, take a bowl of milk on a Saturday or Sunday and circle it around their head three times. Afterward, give the milk to a dog. This remedy should be repeated for three to four weeks to ensure your child remains protected from the evil eye.
