Performance of Indian Golfers

Yuvraj Sandhu delivered a solid performance with a score of 1-under 71, placing him within the top ten at the halfway point of the Turkish Airlines Open, part of the DP World Tour in Turkey.

Shubhankar Sharma also made the cut, despite a challenging finish where he lost five strokes over five holes from the 13th to the 17th, resulting in three bogeys and a double bogey. He ended the round with a score of 3-over 75, putting him at 1-over and tied for 57th place. Prior to his struggles, he had recorded four birdies and two bogeys.

In his debut season on the DP World Tour, Sandhu achieved birdies on the fourth, eighth, 11th, and 14th holes, while he faced setbacks on the seventh, 13th, and 17th.

Mid-Tournament Lead by De Leo

Gregorio De Leo heads into the weekend with a one-shot advantage after carding five birdies and a single bogey for a second-round score of 68, establishing a clubhouse lead at seven under at the National Golf Club.

The 26-year-old was briefly tied at this score with afternoon players Alejandro Del Rey and Jens Dantorp, who both fell back to a tie for second place alongside Kazuma Kobori and Sam Bairstow, all at six under.

This marks De Leo's first 36-hole lead on the DP World Tour as he seeks his first victory after regaining his playing privileges at Qualifying School, following a rookie season that included two top-five finishes. First-round leader Mikael Lindberg is currently at five under in sixth place after a second-round score of 73, while defending champion Martin Couvra made the cut at one over.
