Incident in Ballia District

The police in the Revati area of Ballia district have filed a complaint against a young man for allegedly sharing an intimate photograph of a leader from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on social media. This information was disclosed by the police on Saturday.


According to the authorities, a case was registered against Shailesh Kumar Pandey for posting the controversial image of Arjun Kumar Chauhan, the district president of the BJP Kisan Morcha, along with inappropriate remarks on Facebook.


Chauhan lodged a formal complaint on Friday, leading to the registration of the case under the Information Technology Amendment Act. Officer Prashant Kumar Chaudhary, in charge of the Revati police station, stated that Chauhan reported that Pandey had posted his private photo on Facebook two days prior, accompanied by offensive comments. The police are currently investigating the matter.
