Inauguration of Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue

On Saturday, Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, spoke to the nation's youth during the opening ceremony of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. He called upon young individuals to take charge in the mission of developing the nation, highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of uniting all 1.4 billion citizens to realize the dream of 'Viksit Bharat', with the youth leading the way.

"Dear friends, you represent the future of our nation. Modi ji has entrusted you, the youth, with the responsibility of building Viksit Bharat. On August 15, during the Independence Day celebrations, the Prime Minister expressed his desire for a developed India. But who will bring this vision to life? Can it be achieved solely by the government? Modi ji emphasized that all 1.4 billion citizens must collaborate to reach the goal of Viksit Bharat, and we must empower our youth to be the leaders of this initiative."

Insights from NSA Ajit Doval

The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue aims to enhance youth engagement in India's developmental progress. Alongside Mandaviya, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval also shared his thoughts at the event.

Doval reflected on the sacrifices made for India's freedom, stating that it came at a significant cost, with generations facing humiliation and loss. He encouraged the youth to draw inspiration from the past to help reconstruct the nation and strive for a robust and prosperous India rooted in its values and beliefs.

"This independent India has not always enjoyed the freedom it has today. Our forebears made immense sacrifices, enduring humiliation and helplessness. Many faced execution, while our villages were ravaged and our civilization was threatened. This history challenges every young Indian to ignite a passion within. While the notion of 'revenge' may not be ideal, it can be a powerful motivator. We must reclaim our history and work towards building a great India founded on our rights, ideas, and beliefs," Doval stated.

Continuation of Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue

The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2.0 began on Saturday and will run until January 12 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The inaugural edition of this dialogue took place in January 2025 at the same venue.
