Youth Congress Intensifies Protests Over Exam Irregularities in India
Political Tensions Rise Over Exam Scandals
Political activity has surged in India due to allegations of malpractice, paper leaks, and administrative errors in competitive examinations. The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) has announced plans to escalate its nationwide movement against the central government regarding these issues. They have reiterated their demand for the immediate removal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The youth wing of Congress emphasized that the recurring controversies surrounding examinations have severely undermined students' trust in the country's educational system and selection processes. They plan to initiate a new phase of protests across several states, which will include torch rallies, outreach programs to engage students, and demonstrations.
Nationwide Campaign Against Exam Irregularities
The organization stated that the persistent issues related to examinations have eroded students' confidence in the educational framework. According to an official statement, Uday Bhanu Chib, the president of the Indian Youth Congress, will visit multiple states to lead this campaign. The initiative will take place in various states, including Maharashtra, Telangana, Assam, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Punjab, and Tamil Nadu.
The Indian Youth Congress has accused the authorities of causing repeated distress for students due to leaked question papers, irregularities in exams, and administrative blunders. They also expressed concern over reports suggesting that suspicious entities were contracted to conduct these examinations.
Call for Accountability and Change
Manish Sharma, in charge of the Indian Youth Congress, stated, "Students in this country deserve employment, justice, and accountability. Instead, they are faced with paper leaks, uncertainty, and a crumbling examination system." He emphasized that the protests will continue until accountability is established and those responsible are removed.
Chib accused the government of failing to address students' concerns, claiming that the leaks and irregularities in exams have negatively impacted the future of young candidates. He declared, "We are intensifying this movement nationwide. We will not stop until Prime Minister Narendra Modi is compelled to dismiss Dharmendra Pradhan."
