Arrest of a Young Man in Palamu District

A 20-year-old individual was apprehended on Tuesday in the Palamu district of Jharkhand for allegedly posting a video on social media while in possession of an illegal firearm, according to police reports.


Authorities revealed that the suspect, identified as Taufiq Ansari, had purchased a homemade pistol along with ammunition for ₹5,000. Following the circulation of the video, he was swiftly arrested in the Dali village of the Chhatarpur police jurisdiction.


Superintendent of Police (SP) Rishma Ramesh stated that the accused was seen carrying a gun in the area, which caused significant concern among local residents regarding their safety.
