Youth Arrested in Dehradun for Alleged Abduction and Assault of Minor

In Dehradun, a young man has been apprehended on Thursday for allegedly luring a minor girl and committing sexual assault against her. The police acted on a complaint filed by the victim's father, leading to the arrest of 19-year-old Anil Kumar Pal.

Authorities reported that a case was registered against Pal under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 65(1)/137(2)/190, as well as under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, specifically sections 3 and 4.

The police took swift action based on information received from a tip-off, resulting in his capture. It was revealed that Pal hails from the Mirganj area in Bareilly district, Uttar Pradesh, but was residing in the Railway Down Colony in Dehradun at the time of his arrest.
