Young Entrepreneur Thrives with Organic Egg Farming in Rajasthan

Organic farming has gained significant popularity, with many individuals earning substantial incomes through this method. While some focus on fruits, others cultivate organic vegetables. A young man from Rajasthan has ventured into organic egg farming, successfully generating a good income.

Sanjay Kumar's Organic Egg Venture

Sanjay Kumar operates a farm near Chor Bawdi on the Udaipur-Gogunda highway, where he raises chickens to produce organic eggs. He ensures that his chickens are fed exclusively organic food.

Additionally, Sanjay has arranged for RO water for his chickens, demonstrating his commitment to their well-being by providing only organic feed and water, which results in the production of organic eggs.

Cost and Quality of Production

According to Sanjay, the cost of producing one egg is approximately ₹25. He prioritizes high-quality feed, which contributes to the larger size and weight of his eggs compared to others. These eggs are entirely organic.

The feed for his chickens is sourced from Jamnagar, Gujarat, known for its superior quality organic feed. Sanjay also supplements their diet with fresh organic vegetables.

Free-Range Chickens

Sanjay's farm is spacious, allowing the chickens to roam freely. He has around 400 birds of the Swarnadhara and Vanraja breeds, producing over 100 eggs daily.

He takes meticulous care of his chickens, avoiding the use of pesticides and urea-based products. The demand for his organic eggs is high, with customers willing to pay a premium. These high-quality eggs can sell for six times the market price.
