His actions impressed Liberia's President, George Weah, who awarded him 8 lakhs and facilitated his admission to the country's most prestigious school. Additionally, an American college offered him a full scholarship for his graduation studies.
A local media owner also gifted him some cash, contributed by viewers and listeners who were moved by his integrity. The individual to whom Tulo returned the money also rewarded him with 1 lakh. Emmanuel lost his father at the age of nine and has been living with his aunt, having to drop out of school to drive a motorcycle taxi.
