Extended Holiday for Ram Navami

In a significant move respecting public sentiment, the Yogi government has announced an additional holiday on March 27, extending the Ram Navami break to two consecutive days. March 26 was already designated as a holiday for Ram Navami, and now March 27 will also be a day off. This decision was made in light of the increasing number of devotees visiting temples during the festival. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the government's commitment to honoring religious sentiments and ensuring the convenience of pilgrims.




With this announcement, residents will enjoy a continuous holiday on March 26 and 27, providing relief and better arrangements for those participating in the Ram Navami festivities. Additionally, offerings for Lord Shri Ram were sent to Ayodhya from the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura on Monday morning. An official from the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Seva Sansthan confirmed this information. Secretary Kapil Sharma mentioned that 11 man (440 kilograms) of coriander prasad, 1.25 man (50 kilograms) of laddus, along with clothes and fruits, were dispatched in a decorated vehicle, accompanied by bhajans and kirtans performed by the institute's members and devotees. Sharma also noted that on the occasion of Ram Navami, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra will offer bhog to the deity. The festival of Ram Navami will be celebrated on March 26.
