Ramgarh Tal: A Rising Water Sports Destination

Officials have noted that the Chief Minister has been instrumental in establishing Ramgarh Tal as a significant hub for water sports in India. The area has undergone extensive beautification, and a state-of-the-art Water Sports Complex, valued at approximately Rs 49 crore, has been constructed near the venue, allowing Gorakhpur to host national-level rowing competitions regularly.

This event is part of a series of significant rowing competitions held at this location.

Previously, Ramgarh Tal hosted rowing events during the Khelo India University Games in 2023, followed by the Sub-Junior National Rowing Championship in October 2024. Recently, the national women's rowing team conducted a training camp at this venue in preparation for the 2026 Asian Games.
