Yogi Adityanath Issues Warnings on Road Repairs During Agra Visit

Agra (Uttar Pradesh), July 25 - During a recent visit to Agra, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath cautioned officials that failure to repair damaged roads would lead to legal action. On the first day of his two-day visit, he held an extensive review meeting with representatives and officials at the Commissioner’s Hall, where he assessed development projects, welfare schemes, and law and order issues. Adityanath emphasized that any negligence in public services and development initiatives would not be tolerated.

The Chief Minister expressed his strong dissatisfaction regarding the poor repair of roads that were dug up for the installation of drinking water pipelines under the Jal Jeevan Mission. He reprimanded the officials from the water corporation, stating that if a road is excavated, the contractor must ensure its restoration. He instructed that contractors who fail to meet satisfactory standards should be blacklisted, and relevant officials should face legal action.

Adityanath also urged officials to be sensitive towards street vendors, advising that they should not be evicted from sidewalks but rather provided designated 'vending zones.' While reviewing the health department, he directed the verification of Ayushman cards and payments to listed hospitals for prompt resolution. Regarding the basic education department, he recommended meetings with parents to ensure the proper utilization of funds sent through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
