Yogi Adityanath Emphasizes the Importance of Choosing Good Leaders in Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's Call for Good Governance
On Saturday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh highlighted the significance of selecting capable leaders, referencing a time before 2017 when development was often restricted to individual villages. He asserted that choosing the right leaders and a competent government would yield positive outcomes, while selecting the wrong individuals could lead to dire consequences. Adityanath pointed out that prior to 2017, the emergence of ineffective governments resulted in stagnated development, often confined to a single village.
He issued a warning that any disruption during festive celebrations would not only affect the present but also jeopardize the future. Citing incidents from 2015-16 in Gonda, he recalled attempts to incite riots during Durga Puja, where the immersion of the idol was obstructed. He noted that disturbances would arise before festivals, leaving daughters and traders feeling unsafe, while previous administrations provided refuge to professional criminals, leading to prolonged curfews across the state.
Discussing the achievements of his government since 2017, Yogi Adityanath cautioned that any interference during celebrations would have severe repercussions. He criticized past governments for allowing Gonda's development to be sacrificed on the altar of appeasement, chaos, nepotism, and casteism. He emphasized that his administration treats all eligible individuals equally, regardless of caste or religion, ensuring no discrimination against those who meet the criteria. The Chief Minister reiterated that choosing good leaders and a capable government would lead to favorable results, while selecting the wrong ones would have unavoidable consequences.
Adityanath also reflected on the limitations of development before 2017, stating that progress was often restricted to a single village. He mentioned that his government did not discriminate when establishing medical colleges, stating that they were not limited to Saifai but were also built in Gonda, Bahraich, Balrampur, Ayodhya, and Basti. He highlighted that Ayodhya has now become a place where only devotees can enter, ensuring a secure environment for visitors. Today, Ayodhya shines brightly, and every visitor experiences a sense of pride.
