Yogi Adityanath Critiques Opposition Party Over Ram Opposition
Yogi Adityanath's Strong Remarks Against Opposition
The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and head of the Gorakhnath Peeth, Yogi Adityanath, targeted the main opposition party, the Samajwadi Party (SP), stating on Thursday that anyone opposing Lord Ram is destined for downfall.
Speaking at a festival held at the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan in Gorakhnath Temple on Guru Purnima, he referenced Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, known as the architect of socialism, asserting, "The eminent socialist Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia stated that as long as the worship of Lord Ram, Lord Krishna, and Lord Shiva continues in India, no one can harm the nation. Although the current disciples of Dr. Lohia (SP leaders) may disregard his words, it is certain that those who oppose Ram will face their doom."
The Chief Minister further elaborated, "Dr. Lohia was a freedom fighter and a staunch socialist, fiercely opposing Congress. After independence, when doubts were raised about the unity of Indians, he responded that as long as the worship of Ram, Krishna, and Shiva persists, the question of India's unity does not arise."
He also pointed to the incident in 1990 when the then-SP government ordered firing on kar sevaks in Ayodhya, saying, "Today's socialists, contrary to Lohia's ideals, shoot at Ram devotees." Yogi Adityanath concluded by mentioning the fate of Marich, born into a noble family yet met with a tragic end, emphasizing that despite being born as a human, he was ultimately killed in animal form.
