Yogi Adityanath Criticizes Opposition to VB-G RAM-G Act, Calls It a Historic Reform

On Tuesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath sharply criticized the opposition's stance against the Developed India Guarantee Employment and Livelihood Mission (VB-G RAM-G) Act. He asserted that if they support this legislation, their past misdeeds will come to light. Describing the act as a significant initiative, the Chief Minister emphasized its potential to bring about historic reforms in India's rural economy. He convened this press conference to address the concerns of those who have long been accused of exploiting the nation's resources and are now worried about being exposed.

 

During the press conference, Chief Minister Yogi highlighted that the discussion was centered around significant measures taken by the Prime Minister during the recent winter session of Parliament. He mentioned the passage of a crucial act known as the VB-G RAM-G Act, 2025, which he believes will be a milestone in the landscape of rural development in India. The need for this press conference arose because those who have long exploited the country's resources, causing poverty and unemployment, are now anxious about the implications of supporting such reforms and a transparent approach to rural development.

He stressed that the VB-G RAM-G Act will lay the groundwork for a new India, asserting that the vision of a developed India can only be realized if states progress, which in turn depends on the development of villages, the fundamental units of society. The Chief Minister stated that empowering the rural economy and ensuring social security and respect for workers are essential for advancing the vision of a developed India.

Yogi further reiterated that this act will establish the foundation for a developed India. He emphasized that the goal of a developed nation can only be achieved through the development of states, which is contingent upon the progress of villages. When the rural economy is strengthened, farmers become self-reliant, and workers are guaranteed social security and respect, the dream of a developed India will materialize. He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister on behalf of the people of Uttar Pradesh for this initiative.

 

The Chief Minister expressed surprise that the opposition coalition, known as the India Block, did not thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while they continue to support their past corrupt practices. He pointed out that the Congress party and its India alliance are raising numerous questions regarding this significant VB-G RAM-G Act. It is astonishing that instead of supporting and welcoming this crucial step taken for the benefit of the nation, workers, farmers, and villages, the India alliance is openly backing their previous corrupt behaviors. The features of the VB-G RAM-G Act ensure a transparent process, create job opportunities, provide guarantees, and build sustainable assets in rural areas, thereby enhancing rural infrastructure.
