Yemen's Houthi Rebels Launch Missile Strikes Against Saudi Arabia Amid Ongoing Conflict

Cairo: The Houthi rebels in Yemen have announced that they launched missile and drone attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, a move they claim is retaliation for recent Saudi airstrikes on the vital Red Sea port city of Hodeida.

Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree, the military spokesperson for the Iranian-aligned Houthis, stated in a recorded message that their forces struck facilities belonging to Aramco, the largest oil company globally, located in the Red Sea cities of Yanbu and Jizan.

These Houthi strikes were reportedly a direct response to Saudi air raids that occurred early Saturday, targeting Hodeida and Kamaran Island, both of which are under Houthi control.

As of now, there has been no official response from Saudi authorities. However, the Kingdom's civil defense reported that multiple alerts were triggered early Saturday in both Yanbu and Jizan.
