During the fourth day of the second Test in Birmingham, Indian cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal made a young fan's dream come true. He met Ravi, a visually impaired boy who is a passionate cricket lover, and gifted him a bat signed by himself, creating an emotional moment for everyone present.


Ravi, who has been a devoted follower of the Indian cricket team, especially since the Leeds Test against England, had one wish: to meet his idol, Yashasvi Jaiswal. That wish was fulfilled on Saturday, making the occasion even more memorable.


In a video shared by the cricket board on social media, Jaiswal expressed his nervousness before meeting Ravi, who was warmly welcomed by the player.



Jaiswal greeted Ravi with a smile, saying, "Hi Ravi, how are you? I’m Yashasvi – nice to meet you." He shared his excitement about meeting Ravi, admitting he felt nervous.


He then handed Ravi a bat, inscribed with a personal message: "With best wishes to Ravi, with care and love." Jaiswal expressed his hope that Ravi would keep it as a cherished memory.


Overjoyed, Ravi responded, "Nice to meet you too! Thanks a lot! I am waiting to have your bat – you’re an amazing cricketer. I believe that you’re the future of Indian cricket. I enjoyed the manner in which you batted; your hundreds were terrific. You can score big really when you’re on your day!"


Despite his visual impairment, Ravi impressed Jaiswal with his extensive knowledge of cricket and familiarity with Indian players, showcasing his deep passion for the sport.


After their meeting, Ravi said, "It’s so nice to meet him. He gave me a bat, and I love watching him. I always track him and always support him."
