New Allegations Against Yash Dayal

Yash Dayal, the fast bowler for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and a key player in their IPL 2025 championship victory, is once again embroiled in a significant legal issue. This time, a rape case has been lodged against him in Jaipur, involving a minor.

According to reports, the latest FIR was registered at the Sanganer Police Station in Jaipur. The complaint alleges that Dayal sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl over a span of two years. The victim claims that Dayal manipulated her emotionally, promising to assist her in pursuing a cricket career, only to exploit her trust.

Details of the Case

The victim reported that the initial incident took place in a hotel in Sitapura when she was still a minor. Given her age, the case falls under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, which is one of India's most stringent laws aimed at protecting children from sexual abuse.

Previous Allegations

This new allegation comes shortly after another serious charge was made against Dayal. A woman from Ghaziabad had previously accused him of sexual exploitation under the pretense of marriage. That FIR was filed at the Indirapuram Police Station, citing Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which addresses sexual intercourse based on false promises.

The complainant stated that she met Dayal five years ago and began cohabiting with him, claiming he introduced her to his family as his wife, albeit without legal documentation. She alleged that he became abusive when she questioned him about their marriage.

Dayal's Denial and Legal Proceedings

Following the Ghaziabad allegations, Dayal submitted a petition denying all accusations, asserting that the woman was attempting to blackmail him and that their relationship was purely platonic, with no romantic involvement. He claimed she pressured him into a marriage commitment.

On July 15, 2025, the Allahabad High Court granted him interim protection from arrest in the Ghaziabad case, instructing both the police and the complainant to provide additional information before any decisions are made.

Increasing Legal Challenges

With this latest case involving a minor and falling under the POCSO Act, the legal challenges facing Dayal have intensified. Authorities in Jaipur have yet to make any official statements, and the investigation is ongoing.

As the situation develops, both cases are likely to attract significant attention, potentially impacting Dayal's cricket career and legal standing.
